Transformed Living
Sunday Celebration
Our Sunday Morning service is casual and contemporary. Service starts at 10:00 a.m. We feature a large emphasis on Worship and Teaching, and offer G.O. (Growth & Outreach) groups throughout the week to reinforce this and to foster fellowship.
Life Groups
What…
Life Groups are a place where we can love and be loved, trust and be trusted, encourage and receive encouragement, and where God's Word becomes alive in our lives. It is a place where we can belong, be known, and become all that God has destined us to be.
Why…
Jesus modeled the first life group by developing deep relationships with 12 men who ate, lived, travelled and ministered together. As they hung out together (with Jesus) they were transformed into men who fulfilled their destinies and “turned the world upside down”. As the early church grew, it also followed a similar model of discipleship in small group settings as they broke bread together “from house to house” and gathered together in the Temple for corporate worship (Acts 2:46-47).
Who…
Life Groups are for everyone in the entire Church. It is our desire that everyone in the church would find a Life Group where they can belong, be known and become...
When…
Life groups typically meet in the evenings throughout the week. However, some also meet in the morning or during the day.
Where…
Contact the Church Office for meeting times and locations.

Introduction to the Prophetic
What…
The prophetic is a foundational expression of supernatural ministry, which enables believers to hear God’s voice, experience His promptings and release Heaven on earth. This introductory course assists believers in developing the ability to hear God in daily life, while providing basic understanding in how to respond to the impressions received.
Why…
Prophesy is a Kingdom ability available to every believer… “Pursue love, eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially prophecy” (1Cor. 14:1). It is an indispensable ability for living a spirit-filled life. It is a promise… My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.(Jn 10:27 NIV) It equips believers for supernatural ministry.
Who…
Believers who want to develop this ability in a safe fun environment.
When…
This course is offered in a retreat setting twice a year. To be announced.

Sozo Ministry
What…
Sozo is a Greek word meaning wholeness... wholeness in spirit, wholeness of soul (mind, will, and emotions) and wholeness in body. It is often translated by the English words “saved,” “healed” or “delivered”. Sozo is a gentle and effective ministry led by the Holy Spirit, to bring us into greater truth and into greater intimacy with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Why…
Jesus said, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32) The Greek word for “know” means to have an intimate and personal encounter with the truth as well as with the Source of that truth. Jesus said that He is “the way, the truth and the life”. (John 14:6)... The purpose of Sozo is to encounter the Godhead, to replace lies we have believed with the Truth, and to walk in greater freedom... so that “in all respects we would prosper and be in good health just as our souls prosper.” (3 John 1:1-3)
Who…
Sozo is for every believer in the Body of Christ so that we will not “be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds” (Romans 12:2)
When…
The Sozo ministry happens by appointment. Please call the Church office to schedule.
Mission Possible
What…
Can an entire city be won for Jesus Christ? What would it take to see Northwest Indiana transformed by Revival? Whether it's Ephesus in 60 AD, Rochester, NY in 1830, or Wales in 1904—with 100,000 conversions, the precedent has been set and the Mission is Possible! While the goal of Bethel's Outreach program is city-wide revival and regional transformation, it also dovetails with an all encompassing movement known as Valpo Cares which brings together churches, businesses and service organizations in a partnership to bless our community and serve Valparaiso. Mission Possible includes such outreaches as Adopt-a-Block, Servant Evangelism, Treasure Hunts, Strategic Intercessory Prayer Walks, Sports Evangelism, Children's Outreaches (i.e. VBS, Face Painting in the Park, etc.), and other types of outreaches yet to be discovered.
Why…
In Mattew 28:19 Jesus said, "Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..."
Who…
Making disciples is not optional—it is Jesus' mandate to each one of us. Yet many of us have struggled for years (or more) with accomplishing this task. Mission Possible places this task within reach for everyone! This is because even if door-to-door evangelism is not for you, there is something you can do to join your light with ours to impact our community. Together we can create a bonfire that cannot be quenched!
When…
TBD
Topical Studies
What…
Group studies are offered from time to time throughout the year, focusing on various biblical or Christian living topics. These meetings are conducted by Bethel Valparaiso teachers.
Why…

Group studies provide opportunities for this equipping. “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching” (Acts 2:42) “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim 3:16-17)
Who…
Open to anyone interested in the topic being offered.
When…
Specific topics and meeting times will be announced in the Weekly.
